Bengal DRE builds solar careers for rural youth in North Bengal. Our solar training programmes and skills development programs equip local youth with job-ready technical expertise while strengthening the last-mile service and supply chains that make clean energy adoption last.
Our comprehensive training initiatives are designed to bridge the skills gap and create a resilient DRE ecosystem.
Courses cover solar panel installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across home light systems, pumps, and rooftop units.
We develop local entrepreneurship through the Solar Sathi model, enabling trained youth to deliver essential last-mile operations and maintenance services within their own communities.
Targeted skill training programmes build entrepreneurship among local women, strengthening the last-mile value chain and opening income pathways in the solar sector.
To date, we have trained 1,540+ youth through our solar skills training institute network, maintaining a 61% placement rate through 30+ industry partners.
